Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The psalm promises that God responds to those who call on Him, remaining with them in trouble and delivering them. It also speaks of long life and the revelation of salvation.
Neville's Inner Vision
To the seeker, this is not a distant decree but a note of consciousness. 'He shall call upon me, and I will answer him' is the acknowledgment that you, as awareness, are always answering to your own imagining. Call upon the I AM within; when you do, the sense of separation dissolves, and the infinite resident God becomes the immediate companion in any trouble. 'I will be with him in trouble' means your attention is steered toward the eternal now, where struggle is only a signal to return to faith in presence. 'I will deliver him' is the inner shift from fear to insight, the release of limitation as you hold the vision of invincible consciousness. 'With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation' translates to a fullness of life perceived as wholeness of awareness, not a time-bound duration. The psalm invites you to dwell continuously in the I AM until your seeing aligns with this truth, and every external circumstance reflects that inner state.
Practice This Now
Imaginative_act: Assume 'I AM with me now' as your present reality. Rest your attention there for a few minutes, feeling the inner companion steady you, answer you, and unfold salvation in your experience.
