The Light Reveals Hidden Sins

Psalms 90:8 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Psalms 90 in context

Scripture Focus

8Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret sins in the light of thy countenance.
Psalms 90:8

Biblical Context

God exposes our hidden faults to the light of His countenance. It invites us to face what we keep secret.

Neville's Inner Vision

Consider that 'God' is the I AM within you, the unwavering awareness that watches over every moment. The 'iniquities' and 'secret sins' are not external acts but states of consciousness you have kept in the shadows of awareness. When the verse says He has set them before thee, imagine the inner light turning on, revealing patterns you habitually deny or justify. This light is not to condemn but to liberate: once the subconscious movements are named by awareness, you are no longer defined by them; you can revise them by assuming you are the I AM who sees all and forgives all. The rejection of those secret sins dissolves as you align with the reality that you are not your mislabeled acts but the consciousness that witnesses them. By repentance as turning the mind back to its source, you return to the present, where mercy and compassion flow. The practice of living as the light that notices leads to forgiveness, reconciliation, and a fresh sense of being.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and say, 'I AM the light that sees all within me.' Then revise by forgiving the secret fault and feel it real as you return to the awareness that you are the observer, not the fault.
