Biblical Context
God is a shelter in trouble, and those who know His name will trust in Him. He never forsakes those who seek Him.
Neville's Inner Vision
In Neville's light, the oppressed and the trouble you feel are states of consciousness arising in your own mind. The 'LORD' you seek is your own I AM—your continuous awareness that remains unmoved by the storm of sensation. When you learn the name—the quality you name as God—you anchor your attention on a fixed, unchanging presence. Knowing the name is not information; it is recognition that you, the observer, are always within the sanctuary of awareness. Trust then follows as a natural movement of your consciousness: you refuse to entertain the voice of limitation, because you have chosen to identify with the I AM rather than the fleeting appearances. The Zion where He dwells is the inner sanctuary of your own mind, a place you can enter by choosing to feel your essential divinity. To declare His doings among the people is to witness in your imagination the transformation that results from your faithfulness to this inner state.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and imagine the I AM as a shelter surrounding you. Say, 'I am the refuge now,' and feel the relief as you rest in that presence.
