Inner Covenant Restored
Psalms 89:38-45 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The psalmist laments the withdrawal of divine protection and the breaking of the covenant with the anointed. The kingly power is broken, and enemies mock the once secure reign.
Neville's Inner Vision
In the inner register, the 'anointed' is your state of consciousness—the I AM that claims sovereignty. When the text speaks of God casting off, recognize it as a projection of belief that you are separated from your own presence. The covenant and the crown are not relics in time but realizations in awareness; the ruin described corresponds to thoughts that have, for a season, forgotten their unity with the I AM. The remedy is not external reformation but an inner revision: reaffirm that the covenant remains intact in your mind, and the throne sits in present awareness. See the enemies as transient thoughts that cheer when you identify with lack or doubt; counter them by dwelling in the victorious sense of self-possession. The edge of the sword—your vitality and battle-will—returns as you insist on your unity with the I AM. The days of youth are not shortened; rather, you awaken to the eternal crown within, ruling now from the throne of consciousness that you truly are.
Practice This Now
Practice: Close your eyes, declare silently, 'I AM the covenant kept; I reign now.' Spend five minutes feeling that sovereign, unbroken presence as real in your chest and breath.
