Within this psalm, the moon is not a calendar ornament but a symbol of an unchanging inner state. The 'eternal' establishment refers to your inner conviction that what you imagine is true, witnessed by the heaven of your I AM. The throne in heaven is the seat of awareness—the I AM that never wavers—and in that seat the testimony of your assumption is kept. When you dwell in that awareness, the outer scene moves into alignment with the verdict you have declared. The fidelity spoken here is covenant loyalty: if you remain faithful to your assumed state, Providence follows, guiding events to confirm it. Selah invites you to pause and let this truth sink into your consciousness, to rest in the certainty that your inner witness governs. Practice: assume a state you desire as already true, feel it as real in your chest, and declare it as the established order; then, during the day, return to that witness and let it observe your life as the moon observes the night.
