Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
God promises everlasting mercy to the individual, and the divine covenant shall remain steadfast with that person. In practical terms, the self lives under constant care and a secure inner agreement with God.
Neville's Inner Vision
To the I AM within, Psalm 89:28 speaks not to a distant event but to your present consciousness. 'My mercy will I keep for him forever,' is the atmosphere in which you dwell when you awaken to the truth that you are one with God. 'My covenant shall stand fast with him' declares an unbreakable inner agreement: the covenant is not conditional on outward conditions but rests on your awareness of oneness with the divine. When you identify with the self as the one loved of God, mercy becomes your habitual state, a perpetual assurance that no moment of fear can erase. Every appearance of lack or separation is only a thought in disguise, easily revised by returning to the knowledge of I AM as your reality. The practice is to assume that you are already kept in mercy and bound by the covenant, then feel that reality until it becomes your felt experience. Let your imagination dwell in the certainty: you are endlessly cared for by the I AM, and your inner contract with God remains intact.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and declare, I am kept in mercy forever; I stand in an unbreakable covenant with God. Feel the assurance, and live from that truth in every moment.
