1I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.
2For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: thy faithfulness shalt thou establish in the very heavens.
3I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant,
4Thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne to all generations. Selah.
Psalms 89:1-4

Biblical Context

The psalm proclaims that God's mercy and faithfulness endure forever and that a covenant with the chosen will establish a lasting lineage and throne for all generations.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within this passage I hear the whisper of your I AM—the mercies of the LORD are not distant; they are the steady posture of your own consciousness. The word 'forever' is a decree you place upon your inner weather, an unending state you claim by attention. When you affirm, 'I have made a covenant with my chosen,' you are naming the alignment of your inner faculties with your desired outcome; you are selecting the seed of your becoming. The 'seed' is your latent possibility; the 'throne' is your ruling awareness. To build it 'for ever' is to settle in the feeling that this inner kingdom already exists and operates now. This is not a future promise but the present memory of your creative power. Faithfulness is not an external contract but the habitual recognition of your I AM acting through you. Each moment you return to this alignment, you renew the covenant and witness the throne rise within your consciousness.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes. Assume, in feeling, that you are the covenant-keeping I AM; see a throne of light rising within you and rest there as your lived reality now.
