Psalms 87:5-7

Biblical Context

Zion is presented as a birthplace and source of life. Those born there are counted before God, and inner song and vitality flow from that sacred spring.

Neville's Inner Vision

Zion in this verse is no place on a map but a state of consciousness you carry within. When it says, This and that man was born in her, you are being told that your true ego-identity is born of the inner city of God; the Highest himself shall establish you, which is the I AM, your daily awakener, guaranteeing your inner kingdom is founded and kept. The LORD will count, when He writes up the people, that this man was born there; this is your inner census declaring: you are resident in Zion, not merely visiting. As well the singers as the players on instruments shall be there: all my springs are in thee. The singers and players symbolize the harmonious faculties—faith, joy, imagination, action—already singing from within because the springs of life are sourced in your inner Zion. Practice believing you are already born there, and let that palace of God within establish you and replenish every facet of your life with abundance.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume: I am born in Zion; the Highest establishes me. Feel the inner city alive and see all the springs of vitality flowing from within as a constant current.
