Scripture Focus

4I will make mention of Rahab and Babylon to them that know me: behold Philistia, and Tyre, with Ethiopia; this man was born there.
5And of Zion it shall be said, This and that man was born in her: and the highest himself shall establish her.
6The LORD shall count, when he writeth up the people, that this man was born there. Selah.
Psalms 87:4-6

Biblical Context

Psalm 87:4-6 speaks that nations are spoken of as born in Zion, and that the Highest will establish her. It presents Zion as the spiritual birthplace of the soul, not a location.

Neville's Inner Vision

Viewed through the Neville lens, Rahab and Babylon, Philistia, Tyre, and Ethiopia are inner states of mind, not foreign lands. The verse does not threaten geography; it reveals the inner geography of your consciousness. Zion is the warm, living center of awareness—the true birthplace of your self. When the line says 'this man was born there' and 'the highest himself shall establish her,' it is saying: your sense of self is formed in the Kingdom of God within, and the I AM, the highest, is the guarantor and governor of that birth. The Lord's counting when He 'writeth up the people' is the moment your inner identity is registered as belonging to Zion, here and now. Providence guides you by aligning thoughts, feelings, and memories with the truth of who you are: a citizen born in the eternal city, held and shaped by the highest consciousness. If you have felt exile from unity, revise your sense of place, you are already born in the one city, the divine metropolis, and you are being written into its record.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and imagine Zion as your inner city. Say quietly, 'I am born in Zion; the Highest establishes me,' and feel the feeling of being written into God's record.
