Scripture Focus

5And of Zion it shall be said, This and that man was born in her: and the highest himself shall establish her.
Psalms 87:4-5

Biblical Context

Psalm 87:4-5 speaks of nations mentioned to those who know God, yet the true birth is in Zion, where the Most High establishes the city within.

Neville's Inner Vision

To the consciousness that knows the I AM, Psalms 87:4-5 is a map of inward geography. The verses speak of Rahab and Babylon and the like, not as far-off places but as states of mind that appear to the awake observer. The phrase 'this man was born there' is the inner birth in Zion—your awareness creating a new center of life; and when it is said, 'the highest himself shall establish her,' it is the promise that the I AM, the very fabric of your being, will make that center permanent. Zion is not a physical city but a dwelling place of consciousness where you recognize you are already resident, where you no longer seek from without but acknowledge the kingdom within. As you attend to this inner birth, you invite Providence to reorder appearances so that your life is a faithful manifestation of that inner state. In short, the Psalm invites you to know that you are born in Zion and that the Highest stabilizes that birth in your experience.

Practice This Now

Imaginative_act: Assume the line 'I am born in Zion' as your present fact, and practice feeling the Highest establish you there. Sit and breathe into that inner city until it is as real as your heartbeat.
