Biblical Context
Psalm 87:3-6 speaks of Zion as the inner city of God where births are registered; it lists nations as states of consciousness and declares that the Most High will establish Zion and count the people born in her.
Neville's Inner Vision
In me the city of God is not a place on a map but a living state of awareness where all voices of separation lose their gravity. The text names Rahab and Babylon to those who know me; I know them as old beliefs and fears that once ruled my inner street. Behold Philistia, Tyre, and Ethiopia—lands of doubt and projection—yet I affirm that this man, this I, was born into Zion. The words do not describe history so much as a shift of consciousness: Zion is established by the Highest within my chest, and the Lord counts me as born there when I awaken to who I am. Selah invites me to pause and feel the truth: I am a citizen of a city that cannot fade, precisely because it is my awareness itself. When I write up the people in my inner ledger, I write that I was born in Zion, here and now, not by geography but by realization. The Psalm ends with a birthright claimed by faith, and I claim it now through imagination.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume Zion as your immediate inner address. Feel the Highest establish you there, and let the inner register count you as born in Zion.
