Scripture Focus

2The LORD loveth the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob.
3Glorious things are spoken of thee, O city of God. Selah.
4I will make mention of Rahab and Babylon to them that know me: behold Philistia, and Tyre, with Ethiopia; this man was born there.
5And of Zion it shall be said, This and that man was born in her: and the highest himself shall establish her.
Psalms 87:2-5

Biblical Context

Psalm 87:2-5 speaks of Zion as the beloved city of God and declares glorious things are spoken of those born in her. It ends by saying the Highest Himself shall establish Zion.

Neville's Inner Vision

Zion is a state of consciousness, not a map. The Lord loves the gates of Zion because when you awaken to your I AM, your awareness opens its gates to the riches of God. Glorious things spoken of thee, O city of God, refer to the inner reality you begin to inhabit when you stop looking outward for security and begin claiming your divine birth. The names Rahab, Babylon, Philistia, Tyre, and Ethiopia symbolize the old self's habits and fears that pretend to run your life from without. To say this man was born there means you recognize your name and your home in the inner city, where birth of the Christ self occurs. The Highest Himself shall establish her, indicating that your ultimate foundation is the I AM, not circumstance. When you accept that Zion is your inner city you become the witness that reality follows your assumption. Your day becomes a manifestation gym for the truth that you are born of God, and God is your inhabitant and guide.

Practice This Now

Assume the state I am born in Zion, and the Highest establishes me. Feel a warm, steady sense of home in God as you go about your day.
