Biblical Context

The psalm speaks of all nations created by God coming to worship and glorify Him, acknowledging His greatness and wondrous works.

Neville's Inner Vision

In the inner weather of your mind, these words reveal that the nations you see 'out there' are not separate peoples but states of consciousness you have yet to harmonize. When you read 'thou hast made' and 'shall come to worship,' hear it as a declaration of your own I AM: the divine designer who creates every facet of your world so that worship may occur. To worship, in Neville's sense, is to align your attention with the truth that God is within, that the mighty deeds you seek are already done by the one Life you call I AM. The words 'before thee, O Lord; and shall glorify thy name' point to the practice of naming and claiming your true identity—let the inner names of lack, fear, or doubt bow to the reality of your being. The verse says God is great and does wondrous things; you awaken to these 'wondrous things' when you imagine from the end: see the inner nations bowing to your light, and you will witness the outer world bend accordingly. Remember, the power to call forth unity rests in your assumption that all is one.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and affirm, 'I am the Lord; I am God within; all the inner nations bow to my awareness.' Then feel it real as you breathe, dwelling in the sense of unity for a full minute.
