Strength to Strength Within Zion
Psalms 84:7-10 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The psalm describes the soul's ascent, moving from strength to strength as it abides in God's inner presence. It esteems humble devotion over the ease of worldly wealth.
Neville's Inner Vision
I hear the psalm as a map of the inner man, where strength rises in waves as I dwell in Zion—the inner temple of awareness. To appear before God is to recognize what I have become in imagination, for every move inside reveals my state of consciousness. When I say hear my prayer, I am inviting the I AM to awaken within me and to answer not from external circumstance but from the still, listening presence inside. Behold, our shield becomes the realization that the I AM stands as a shield of perception, guarding me from illusion. I behold the face of the anointed—the Christ within—my own awakened consciousness shining through. A day in thy courts is better than a thousand; this is the treasure of inner life, for life in the inner courts is wealth beyond measure. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God—humble service in consciousness—than dwell in the tents of wickedness, which I now see as ignorance. This inner court life is active and intentional: a continual practice of imagining and feeling the presence of God until it becomes my lived reality.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, breathe deeply, and assume, I am in Zion now, in the inner courts of God. Feel the strength rise as you imagine yourself walking the threshold, greeting the I AM with confident reverence.
