Scripture Focus

5Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them.
6Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools.
7They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God.
Psalms 84:5-7

Biblical Context

Blessed is the one whose strength comes from God; in their heart are the ways of God. Through the valley of dryness they turn it into a well, and they go from strength to strength as they appear before God in Zion.

Neville's Inner Vision

Think of Psalm 84:5-7 as a map of your inner weather. The 'strength in thee' is the waking I AM—the awareness you are always in God; the 'ways' of them are the habitual images you cultivate in your heart. When you hear 'valley of Baca,' imagine dryness of perception in your mind; do not search outside for rain. Assume the rain is already yours—the inner nourishment of awareness—allow it to fill the pools you carry inside. As you persist in this assumption, the pools rise and the tremor of doubt subsides. Each fixed act of belief moves you 'from strength to strength,' a progressive strengthening of consciousness that culminates in Zion, the state of perfect presence where you appear before God. You do not seek God externally; you awaken to the fact that God is within and you are that power. Practice this and your day becomes a procession of inner victories, visible as strength in action.

Practice This Now

Assume the feeling of already standing in Zion; revise any lack by affirming 'I AM' presence in you now. Then imagine rain filling the inner wells, nourishing every corner of your heart.
