Inner Nation Remembrance
Psalms 83:4 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Psalms 83 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
It depicts enemies plotting to wipe out Israel as a nation. The verse expresses a fear-driven attempt to erase a people’s identity and memory.
Neville's Inner Vision
All through this psalm the outer scene of conspiracy is but a mirror for the inner plot of mind. 'They' who say, 'Come, let us cut them off' are not a foreign army; they are fearful habits trying to erase the memory of your divine nation within. Israel stands for the kingdom of God in consciousness—the I AM that knows itself as the sole reality. To cut off the nation is to imagine you have no lasting center, to forget the name you bear before God. The threat dissolves the moment you recognize that the true nation never depends on the world’s reports, only on awareness. Exile and return appear as your inner shifts: fear exiling you from present power, then your revising, daring to return to the remembrance that you are already, always the I AM. When you claim that reality, the 'enemies' recede, and your inner land flourishes again, independent of rumor. Be still, assume the state of the I AM, and let the memory of Israel reassert itself as your permanent identity.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and imagine the inner nation blooming within you. Say quietly: I AM Israel, forever remembered in my consciousness; all fear and memory of exile dissolves as I dwell in the I AM.
