Inner Israel Conquers Dark Counsel
Psalms 83:2-5 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Biblical Context
Psalm 83:2-5 describes enemies rising with crafty schemes to erase a nation; in inner terms, this mirrors the mind's thoughts and doubts trying to erase your true identity within.
Neville's Inner Vision
I hear the psalm as a mirror of state-of-consciousness. The 'enemies' and their 'crafty counsel' are not out there; they are the habitual thoughts and fears arising in the mind. They rise in tumult because I have given attention to them. They say, 'Come, let us cut them off from being a nation'—meaning they would erase the inner realization that I am the I AM, that my awareness constitutes a living nation within. Yet 'Israel' in me is a divine pattern of being, not a political name. When I claim the I AM, when I refuse to let those conspiracies define me, the confederacy dissolves. The line 'they have conspired together with one consent' is simply the chorus of doubt that loses its voice when faced with the conscious state. So long as I remain identified with the I AM, the inner kingdom remains alive and remembered, regardless of external appearances.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Sit quietly, assume the state 'I am the I AM,' and revise the scene by declaring the hidden one cannot be cut off. Feel it real now: the sense of Israel within me remains intact as the outer tumult fades.
