Scripture Focus

5They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.
Psalms 82:5

Biblical Context

The verse speaks of people who do not know or understand, walking in darkness, with the earth’s foundations out of course.

Neville's Inner Vision

They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course. In the Neville Goddard sense, this is not distant ignorance but a state of consciousness. “They” are the fragmented beliefs and neglected awareness within you that have forgotten their unity with the I AM. Darkness represents attention diverted from the present, from the one reality you truly are. The “foundations of the earth” are your inner principles—your self-concept, your decisions, your loyalties—that lose their order when you forget who you are. Yet imagination is the instrument by which you recover order. By assuming the feeling of the wish fulfilled—the I AM awake and knowing—you begin to realign those inner foundations. As you dwell in the awareness that you are already complete, the inner disarray yields to clarity, and understanding becomes the light through which all aspects of your inner day unfold.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, declare 'I AM awake now,' and feel the certainty in your chest. Then revise a recent moment of doubt by affirming, 'I understand now,' and imagine a dawn light steadily aligning every inner foundation.
