Biblical Context

Psalm 81:2-3 calls the people to bring musical instruments—timbrel, harp, psaltery, and trumpet—on the new moon and at the appointed feast. It marks sacred time with joyful, intentional worship.

Neville's Inner Vision

Viewed through the I am, this psalm becomes a manual for inward composition. The lines do not demand outward ceremony as much as a tuning of the mind. The timbrel, the harp, the psaltery, and the trumpet are symbols for faculties awakened by attention: rhythm joins feeling, melody aligns memory, and the blast of the trumpet speaks of awakening awareness. 'Take a psalm' is an invitation to select a vibrational truth and give it form in consciousness. 'Bring hither' suggests you call forth these powers into your present state, now, as you would invite guests to a feast. The new moon and the time appointed point to cycles of inner realization that you can attend at will; the solemn feast day is the moment of consecration when you acknowledge God as I AM within. When you dwell in this, your environment shifts to reflect the harmony of your inner conviction. Imagination creates, and the world you see is the echo of your inward song.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and imagine a personal psalm rising from your heart. Hear the inner instruments align with the I AM presence and feel it real, now.
