Verse 8:7 speaks of all creatures as present in the field of the Lord's dominion. In Neville's psychology, this is not a taxonomic catalog but a map of consciousness. The 'sheep' and 'oxen' and 'beasts' are inner states, appetites, habits, and faculties under the governance of your I AM. When you acknowledge that the Whole of Life is under your awareness, you are declaring that no impulse remains outside the realm of your consciousness. The creatures exist because your imagination allows them to exist; to change them is to change what you accept as real. The verse invites you to see your inner world as a pasture you own, not a battlefield. The sovereignty described is the sovereignty of awareness; you, as the thinker who imagines, appoint the shepherd who tends, calms, and aligns each creature with a common purpose: growth, order, and harmony. Practice by assuming that you already reign over your inner domain, and then revise any disturbing voices to a calm, obedient tone, until the whole landscape moves in tune with your intention.
