Psalms 8:3-4 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Psalms 8 in context

Scripture Focus

3When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;
4What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?
Psalms 8:3-4

Biblical Context

The psalm surveys the vast heavens and asks what is man that God minds him. It affirms that humanity is held in mindful regard within creation.

Neville's Inner Vision

Consider the heavens not as distant lights but as the theater of your own awareness. The work of thy fingers—the moon and stars—are the materialized thoughts of your I AM. When the Psalm asks, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? the answer echoes: consciousness is the personal divine activity. God does not look from outside; He minds you through your own attention. The man you see in the world is the image of your inner posture. If you allow your awareness to center in God, you revise the outer scene. The visitation is not a distant event but an everyday awakening in your mind. The cosmos confirms you are seen because you have chosen to see with the one Mind.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and imagine the heavens within your own mind. Silently repeat: I am mindful of me; I am visited by God now, and feel it real.
