Inner Majesty of God's Name

Psalms 8:1 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Psalms 8 in context

Scripture Focus

1O LORD, our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens.
Psalms 8:1

Biblical Context

The verse proclaims that God's name is excellent throughout the earth, with His glory shining above the heavens.

Neville's Inner Vision

Do not think of God’s name as distant; in the inner you, the Name is the I AM—your perpetual awareness that feels, thinks, and calls itself into form. When the psalm says, 'how excellent is thy name in all the earth,' it speaks of the sovereign power of consciousness that courses through every scene of your life. The earth is but the stage for the movement of your inner state; the heavens above are the more subtle orders of your mind, yet both are subject to the same ruling: you, as awareness, choosing a state. The \"glory\" set above the heavens is not a distant splendor, but the production of your inner order when you dwell in the realization that you are one with the Name. Thus, worship is not ritual outside but an inner alignment: feel the Name as your own being, and the outer world miraculously rearranges to reflect that dignity. Practice recognizing that your present consciousness is the living image of all that the psalm extols: order, holiness, and exalted life.

Practice This Now

Sit quietly, declare 'I AM that I AM' as your living awareness, and feel the world align with this inner order becoming your experience.
