Sevenfold Reproach, Inner Return

Psalms 79:12 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Psalms 79 in context

Scripture Focus

12And render unto our neighbours sevenfold into their bosom their reproach, wherewith they have reproached thee, O Lord.
Psalms 79:12

Biblical Context

The psalmist asks God to render the reproach of their neighbors back to them sevenfold.

Neville's Inner Vision

In the inner language of the I AM, 'neighbors' are not simply people but the many states of mind that appear to separate you from your true being. The reproach spoken by others is but a mirror for a belief you still entertain about yourself—perhaps a fear of lack, a fear of judgment, or a sense of being unseen. When you cry out for God to render their reproach back to them sevenfold, you are really declaring the law of consciousness: as you refuse to harbor this charge in your heart, the charge dissolves, and the energy is redirected to its rightful home in awareness. The sevenfold is not punishment but a complete cycle of inner movements rearranged to bring you into harmony. Rather than resisting, you bless the situation as an opportunity to acknowledge your I AM and to revise the inner pattern until it no longer generates outer reproach. In this light, the world becomes a theater for your awakening, not a battleground.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and recall a situation of perceived reproach. Assume the end: the sevenfold reproach is rendered back to them, and you awaken to your I AM presence.
