Biblical Context
Psalm 78:12–16 recounts God’s marvellous deliverance—parting the sea, guiding by cloud and fire, and supplying water from rocks—shown in the lived experience of Israel. In Neville’s terms, these are inner movements of consciousness that you can awaken.
Neville's Inner Vision
All the marvels in these lines are not distant histories but inner movements of your awareness. The sea that parts is your belief that limitation yields to a fixed I AM state. The cloud by day and the fire by night are the steady presence of I AM guiding you from dawn to dark. The cleft in the rock and the streams gushing forth symbolize inner provision that your awareness makes appear. As you dwell in the I AM, you pass through seeming obstacles, drink from the depths, and watch rivers of possibility run through your life. The miracle is not coming to you; you are the miracle that makes a way. Your body aligns with your mind as you refuse to chase signs and instead assume the feeling of already having what you seek. Practice in silence: assume you are the I AM; imagine stepping through the sea and being sustained by waters that spring from within.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume you are the I AM, the inner motion that parts the sea. Repeat the conviction, 'I am the I AM that makes a way,' and visualize water pouring from the rock as you feel relief and gratitude.
