Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse commits to remembering the LORD's past works and wonders. It invites turning inward to acknowledge divine acts as a source of faith.
Neville's Inner Vision
Remembering is a creative act. When I hear, I will remember, I am not recalling a distant history; I am choosing a state of consciousness in which the I AM becomes your operative power. The 'works of the LORD' are inner demonstrations you have already imagined into being; the 'wonders of old' are past scenes you now revive as present perception. To remember them is to return to the feeling that those wonders exist here and now, and to let that awareness rearrange your world. Your trust shifts from the changing weather of circumstance to the enduring presence of the I AM within you. The covenant loyalty spoken in the psalm is simply steadfast attention to that inner reality; as you hold it, Providence begins to act in your life from within, forging outer events to match your renewed inner state.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Sit in quiet, close your eyes, and assume you are already living in the memory of the LORD's wonders, feeling them as present. Repeat with gratitude until the sense of lack dissolves.
