Psalms 76:5-6 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Psalms 76 in context

Scripture Focus

5The stouthearted are spoiled, they have slept their sleep: and none of the men of might have found their hands.
6At thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, both the chariot and horse are cast into a dead sleep.
Psalms 76:5-6

Biblical Context

The stouthearted are spoiled and sleep; none of the mighty find their hands. When rebuked by God, even the chariot and horse fall into a dead sleep.

Neville's Inner Vision

Be aware that the stouthearted state is a dream of power; its boast fades when you claim the I AM within. The outer display of chariots and horses is a projection of your mind, silenced as you acknowledge I AM the power here. As you dwell in that inner governor, the mighty’s wakefulness dissolves into sleep; the image yields to inner certainty. The God of Jacob is your inner awareness, not an external judge. When you rest there, the storm of the world relaxes because you remember you are the sovereign presence. Practically, assume the feeling: I AM the sovereign I AM in this moment, and all apparent power outside sleeps until I awaken to my own quiet, inspired stillness.

Practice This Now

Sit quietly, declare I AM the God of Jacob within me, and feel the outer powers fall asleep as you rest in that inner authority.
