Biblical Context
God is known in Judah; His name is great in Israel; His tabernacle and dwelling are in Zion.
Neville's Inner Vision
Notice that the psalm names places—Judah, Salem, Zion—not as distant locales, but as states of inner consciousness. In Neville's language, God is known where you stand in the I AM; the great name in Israel is the recognition of your inner unity. Salem, peace, marks the calm center of your attention; Zion, the sacred temple within, is the dwelling place of the divine I AM. When you dwell in Zion, you stop seeking elsewhere; you know that your awareness itself is God’s temple. The outer world bends to the feeling that God is present here and now. The inner geography is made real by the assumption that the presence of God and the sense of home belong to you now. Begin with the recognition: 'In my Judah I am known by God; my inner Israel bears His name.' Then feel the living sense of the sanctuary within; let the mind rest in the stillness of Zion; let the day-to-day world reflect that you live there; the temple is not build with stones but with conscious acknowledgement. The time is now; the experience is realized when you simply claim it with faith.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, breathe, and affirm: 'In my Judah God is known; in my Zion I dwell; I am the dwelling place of the great I AM.' Feel it now.
