Biblical Context
Psalm 75:8-10 depicts the Lord's cup poured out on the wicked and the exaltation of the righteous. It presents judgment and exaltation as expressions of inner life.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within this Psalm, the cup in the Lord's hand is not fate but your own inner state you have not been aware of. The red wine, full of mixture, is the blended impressions of fear and faith you have accepted as real. The dregs of the wicked are those beliefs you have allowed to govern your days; when you wring them out and drink, you taste the consequence of such belief. I declare forever, I will sing praises to the God of Jacob—this is your decision, your moment of recognition that you are the I AM, the one who negotiates reality by what you assume. The horns of the wicked will be cut off means the outer powers you formerly thought to control will fall away as you stop identifying with them. The horns of the righteous shall be exalted: when you align with the divine, your inner worth becomes outward strength. Your reward is the discipline of quiet faith and the awareness that all kingship and authority belong to your awakened self.
Practice This Now
Assume you are drinking from the Lord's cup and feel sovereign life now; declare the I AM's rulership over your world and watch perception shift.
