I Am Upholding the Pillars

Psalms 75:3 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Psalms 75 in context

Scripture Focus

3The earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved: I bear up the pillars of it. Selah.
Psalms 75:3

Biblical Context

Psalms 75:3 speaks of the earth and its inhabitants dissolving, yet the I Am sustains and bears the pillars of it.

Neville's Inner Vision

From the Neville vantage, the verse is not about geology but states of consciousness. The earth’s dissolving is the sensation of old forms dissolving when you insist on a newer order. But the I AM—your unchanging awareness—bears up the pillars of that world. The pillars are your assumptions, recognitions, and anchors by which you support experience. When you feel life slipping, you are identifying with the dissolving surface; when you shift to I AM, you feel yourself as the consistent power that holds the structure together. This is not force from without; it is recognition of the inside job: you are the perceiver and the upholding principle. The apparent dissolution becomes a signal to revise, to feel it real that you, as I AM, sustain every pillar by attention. Permit the Selah to settle, and allow a new order to arise within consciousness. In this view, Providence is not distant; it is the steady life of your inner state.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Close your eyes and assume, 'I AM the consciousness upholding my world.' Revise any sense of dissolution to a felt reality of an unshakable pillar under every form.
