Seeing Beyond Signs Within

Psalms 74:9 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Psalms 74 in context

Scripture Focus

9We see not our signs: there is no more any prophet: neither is there among us any that knoweth how long.
Psalms 74:9

Biblical Context

Psalm 74:9 says there are no signs or prophets visible, and no one knows how long this will last.

Neville's Inner Vision

Psalm 74:9 sounds the moment when outward signs vanish and the old prophets are not in sight. Yet the absence of signs is not a void in reality; it is a hidden invitation to acknowledge the one and only prophet within—the 'I AM' you are. In this reading, 'signs' and 'prophets' are inner moves in consciousness, not events in an external realm. When you feel there is no one to tell you how long this will last, you meet the true question: who are you listening to—your fear or your 'I AM'? The answer is always 'I AM'. Time and duration are inner movements, not laws of God, and you can dissolve the sense of waiting by a present-tense assumption: the sign is already here, the voice is within, and the duration ends in your awakened awareness. By assuming the wish fulfilled and feeling it real, you stop chasing outward signs and begin living as the sign. The inner witness becomes your guide, and hope becomes a future that exists now in the consciousness you inhabit.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Sit quietly and assume the feeling of the wish fulfilled as already true; silently declare, 'I am the sign and I AM now guiding me.' Hold that inner sense for a minute, letting the I AM lead your awareness into every moment.
