The 'right hand' is the active power of consciousness, the capacity to bring form to your life. When the text asks, Why withdrawest thou thy hand? it reveals the common habit of assuming absence, as if God’s power could be elsewhere. The remedy is not begging but reviving; to pluck it out of thy bosom is to pull the power from the hidden heart of your being into the scene you presently inhabit. You awaken by assuming the feeling that the Presence is here now. Imagination, properly held, is your right hand; its labor restores salvation and redemption in your inner and outer world. Mercy and compassion follow when you dwell in the awareness that God is your consciousness, not a future event.
