Psalms 72:8-11

Biblical Context

Psalm 72:8-11 envisions a ruler whose dominion spans all lands, with nations honoring him. In Neville's view, this ruler is the inner state of consciousness aligning with the I AM.

Neville's Inner Vision

Think of these lines as a description of your own inner throne. The I AM—the aware, unmoved center—takes dominion from sea to sea: the expansive reaches of your imagination and your days, from your deepest feeling to your widest plans. When you acknowledge this one ruler, the wilderness of fear and restlessness bows, and old antagonisms are brushed to dust by the touch of inner authority. The kings of Tarshish and the isles are not distant nations but the outward concerns and attractions your mind meets; they offer gifts when they recognize the true ruler. Eventually all kings fall down before him and all nations serve the throne of your awareness. This is not about history; it is about your consciousness waking to its own sovereignty. Practice re-centering in the I AM, feel the extension of your awareness, and let the world around you respond in proportion to your inner order.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and imagine a vast, serene throne room within. Say softly, I AM the ruler of all within me; feel the seat beneath your awareness and the calm that follows, then notice the outer life mirroring this inner order.
