Inner Mountains of Peace

Psalms 72:3-5 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Psalms 72 in context

Scripture Focus

3The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the little hills, by righteousness.
4He shall judge the poor of the people, he shall save the children of the needy, and shall break in pieces the oppressor.
5They shall fear thee as long as the sun and moon endure, throughout all generations.
Psalms 72:3-5

Biblical Context

Peace comes when righteous rule governs the land. Oppression is broken and the needy are saved, and this divine order endures through generations.

Neville's Inner Vision

All the mountains and hills inside you are inner states. When I dwell in righteousness as a living practice, peace flows to the people within and around me, and the 'judge' becomes the I AM discerning with mercy. The 'poor' and the 'needy' are the aspects of myself in want; I save them by choosing love and decisive faith over fear. Oppression shatters not by outward force but by a shift in consciousness, by expanding the sense of self until the sun and moon endure as symbols of stable awareness in my life. This enduring order is mine now, as long as I hold to the inner governance. Do not chase external proof; rest in the conviction that this divine government operates in my heart, and through that inner order, my world aligns with justice and peace.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Assume the inner mountains of peace are present in you now; revise any sense of oppression by declaring, 'I am governed by a righteous order now.' Feel that order shaping your thoughts and days.
