Neville's Inner Vision

On the level of consciousness, the king is the I AM that rules your inner domain. The 'needy' you hear crying are your lack-minded thoughts, your 'poor' impulses, your doubts who have no helper in the outer world but are sustained by your belief. When you dwell in the state of the I AM, you deliver the needy by turning attention to them with merciful awareness. The king spares the poor and saves the souls of the needy by not letting deceit and violence—your self-deceptions and fearful voices—govern you. Their blood is precious in his sight: life energy is protected, not wasted in conflict. The king lives, and receives the gold of Sheba, which stands for fitting ideas and resources that align with truth. Prayer and daily praise are the daily acts of faith that enshrine the inner state, making it permanent. So the pull of the outer world shifts to reflect that inner reality. When you feel the mercy of your I AM, the entire design of your life answers with justice, prosperity, and enduring peace.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Close your eyes, assume the inner king already delivers the needy within you, and feel the relief as deceit falls away; silently bless the life that flows.
