Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The psalmist recalls being taught by God from youth and asks not to be forsaken in old age; he vows to declare God's wondrous works and to witness His strength to this generation and to come, while affirming God's high righteousness and praising Him.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within the I AM, youth and old age are states of consciousness, not mere dates on a clock. The verse is a blueprint for living from an awakened mind: you are the awareness that has learned from youth and now chooses to remain conscious of God's strength flowing through you to this generation and those that follow. When you say, 'forsake me not,' you are not pleading for external mercy, but revising your sense of isolation into a living unity with the divine consciousness you are. 'Thy righteousness is very high' becomes the recognition that the standard of truth and action is beyond circumstance—an eternal order your mind can align with. Trials are reframed as inner motions that quicken you, elevating your state from the depths of limitation to the heights of vitality. Your praise and testimony—your speech of truth—are the natural expression of this inner alignment, and the world’s opposition is neutralized by the new inner sense of being. Thus, you embody a power that increases your greatness and comforts you on every side, now and for generations to come.
Practice This Now
Impose the feeling of being taught by God from your youth and rest in the current power that sustains you. revise any sense of abandonment by declaring, 'I am held by the I AM,' then imagine sharing this truth with this generation and those to come, as you speak righteousness with unwavering calm.
