Psalms 69:31

Biblical Context

Psalm 69:31 says God is pleased more by inner devotion than by animal sacrifices, emphasizing inner worship over external ritual.

Neville's Inner Vision

Beloved, the Psalm speaks not against sacrifice but against making sacrifice the definition of worship. In my terms, the LORD you seek is the I AM within, and what pleases Him is the state you inhabit—the posture of awareness, gratitude, and faithfulness you hold in consciousness. The ox and the bullock with horns and hoofs symbolize outward rites; the true offering is your inner alignment. When you affirm that you are already the living altar, you release the need for ritual and feel the presence of God as your own awareness. Your imagination becomes the priest and the sacrifice; by imagining you are the I AM embodied, your external world shifts to reflect that truth. The more consistently you sustain this inner praise and faithful stillness, the more the outer life reveals itself as a natural expression of that inner devotion. Treat every moment as an invitation to align with the inner Lord, and let your life become the living embodiment of true worship rather than signs without substance.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Assume you are the I AM already; feel it real by silently declaring 'I AM' and letting gratitude fill you. If you notice a pull toward outward rituals, revise the moment inward, and let the inner altar illuminate your days.
