Biblical Context

God sends abundant rain to refresh His inheritance when weary; His congregation dwells there, and He has prepared goodness for the poor.

Neville's Inner Vision

All the words in the psalms describe states of consciousness, not distant lands. God is the I AM within you. When you read Thou didst send a plentiful rain, you are seeing the inflow of supply into your inner life. The rain is the felt realization of your inheritance, the unchanging right of your being as a child of the I AM. When weariness comes, remember it is a belief sprouting in a moment, not a fact about you. The congregation that dwells there is the inner chorus of thoughts and feelings that share your awareness; through the rain they are nourished and aligned with abundance. Thou hast prepared of thy goodness for the poor means the portion of your mind convinced of lack is included in divine provision, already given by your perfected state. So today, identify with the I AM, assume abundance, and feel it as present. Do not seek without; revise within until your sense of lack dissolves and you know you are the recipient and the giver of this rain.

Practice This Now

Sit in silence, breathe deeply, and declare I am the I AM; this moment is flooded with abundance. Visualize rain pouring into your inner landscape, nourishing the inheritance and the poor within you.
