Neville's Inner Vision
To Neville, the solitary is a mode of consciousness not a lonely person. God setteth the solitary in families means the I AM places you within a living arrangement of inner states—habits, relationships, and the sense of belonging that come from within. The 'families' are not external clans but the various circles of awareness you inhabit when you accept that you are already joined to a larger self. The chains are fear, resistance, and false identifications that keep you feeling bound; they dissolve the moment you affirm that you are already included in this inner community. The dry land you fear is the mind when you cling to isolation or complain about lack; it dries because you have refused the creative moisture of your own imagination. Imagination is the tool by which you revise. If you assume you are in an inner family, your sense of separation shifts to unity, and the outward circumstance follows. Recall that you are the I AM, and every feeling of belonging is a confirmation of what you already are.
Practice This Now
Tonight, revise the inner picture from solitary to belonging by imagining you are already in a loving inner family; sustain the feeling of being included for a few minutes and notice the imagined chains loosening.
