33To him that rideth upon the heavens of heavens, which were of old; lo, he doth send out his voice, and that a mighty voice.

Biblical Context

The psalm calls the earth's kingdoms to praise God and speaks of God riding the heavens and releasing a mighty voice from above.

Neville's Inner Vision

To read Psalm 68:32–33 in Neville's line, the 'kingdoms of the earth' are not lands but the many states of your mind—praises, fears, plans, loves—each awaiting a call to align with the One. When you sing unto God, you are not cajoling an external deity but returning to the I AM, the ever-present awareness. 'He rideth upon the heavens of heavens' speaks of the upward currents of consciousness that sweep across your inner skies—the old heavens of limitation and memory riding by as if they were ancient chariots. Then comes His 'mighty voice,' not a thunder from outside, but a decisive impulse from within—your clarion imagination, the power by which you instantiate reality. Selah is a pause to feel the truth you have already chosen; it confirms that the Word you speak inwardly creates outward appearance. So the present is the only kingdom; your job is to dwell as God-consciousness, to hear and obey that inner voice, and to let your world adjust to the quiet majesty of Presence.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, declare 'I am God-consciousness now,' and in the stillness hear a mighty inner voice. Then rest in the felt presence as the kingdoms of your life align to praise.
