Read Psalms 68 in context

Scripture Focus

17The chariots of God are twenty thousand, even thousands of angels: the Lord is among them, as in Sinai, in the holy place.
18Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts for men; yea, for the rebellious also, that the LORD God might dwell among them.
Psalms 68:17-18

Biblical Context

It describes God among heavenly hosts and His holy presence. It also speaks of ascent freeing captivity so gifts can come that the Lord may dwell among humanity.

Neville's Inner Vision

Picture the chariots of God as the vast train of your thoughts and feelings, twenty thousand, even thousands of angels, rolling through your inner skies. The Lord is among them—the I AM that you are—present in the holy place of your current awareness, the Sinai of your attention where you stand in reverence. As you assume, you ascend on high, not by force but by the felt shift of consciousness; captivity is led captive as old fears and doubt bow to the triumph of this inward state. Gifts begin to rain into your life—clarity, energy, courageous choices—for yourself and even for those who resist, that the Lord God might dwell among them. The dwelling is a condition of awareness, a steady recognition that you are not separate from the Source. Now, let this be real in your body: imagine your heart, your mind, your will all opening to this presence, and feel the boundary dissolve into the holy place within.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume, 'The Lord God dwells in me now.' Feel this as a warm, luminous present-tense reality for several minutes, then carry the sense into your ordinary tasks.
