Read Psalms 68 in context

Scripture Focus

16Why leap ye, ye high hills? this is the hill which God desireth to dwell in; yea, the LORD will dwell in it for ever.
Psalms 68:16

Biblical Context

The verse questions outward heights and declares that God desires to dwell on an inner hill, and that the LORD will dwell there forever. In plain terms, it points to a sanctuary within your consciousness where awareness can rest in God’s presence.

Neville's Inner Vision

Why leap ye, ye high hills? asks the psalmist. The 'hill' God desires to dwell in is not a mountain you climb, but your own state of awareness. The I AM, the LORD of your being, already resides on that inner hill; He dwells there forever because that is the natural and unchanging condition of your mind when it rests in awareness. Do not seek God in outward elevations or rituals; seek Him in the stillness of your own consciousness where the impression of separation disappears. When you imagine the hill as a sanctuary, you are not pretending; you are waking to what is already true: you are the I AM that dwells in the continuous present. Make your assumption now: 'I am now dwelling on the hill of my consciousness where God lives.' If doubts arise, revise: 'There is no lack; the LORD dwells here forever.' As you persist in this inner truth, your outer world aligns with that state because imagination creates reality. The Psalm invites you to convert pilgrimage into inner realization, a true worship that is presence, trust, and steadfast consciousness.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and place your attention on the chest or forehead as your inner hill. Repeat, 'I AM dwelling here now,' and feel the presence of God as permanent, guiding your perception until it seems fact.
