Inner Hill of God Manifestation
Psalms 68:15-17 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Psalms 68 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage portrays the hill of God as a sacred dwelling God desires forever, surrounded by a multitude of chariots—the angels—where the Lord is present.
Neville's Inner Vision
See the hill of God not as a distant hill but as the state of consciousness you choose to inhabit. Bashan’s lofty ground becomes the stable inner ground of your awareness, and the question on the high hills is a reminder that the self must settle into a fixed posture of attention. This is the hill which God desires to dwell in—your I AM, the very sense of presence that you call awareness. The chariots of God—twenty thousand angels—are the organized powers of your mind, the faculties that can be marshaled by imagination, faith, and disciplined feeling. They surround you and move at your command, and the Lord is among them as in Sinai, a holy, personal presence within your inner sanctuary. Rather than seeking God outside, you are invited to realize that He already dwells in the hill you inhabit by choosing to abide in the truth of your own consciousness. In that recognition, the world aligns with your inner state, and your life reflects the order and serenity of this inner dwellings.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Assume the state 'I am the hill of God, and the Lord dwells in me now,' and feel the still, surrounding presence until it becomes your experienced reality. Move in your day with that feeling, and notice how circumstances shift to reflect your inner sanctuary.
