Blessings From Our Inner God

Psalms 66:8-9 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Psalms 66 in context

Scripture Focus

8O bless our God, ye people, and make the voice of his praise to be heard:
9Which holdeth our soul in life, and suffereth not our feet to be moved.
Psalms 66:8-9

Biblical Context

The psalm calls the people to bless God and celebrate how He sustains life and keeps us from being moved.

Neville's Inner Vision

Remember, the 'holding' is not a distant event but the state you assume in consciousness. The 'people' are the inner aspects of your own awareness, those who declare life is divine. When you praise, you emit a vibrational note that harmonizes with the I AM within you. That note creates stability; 'feet not moved' is the assurance that your inner state—your sense of being held by life itself—remains intact under any appearance. To dramatize this, you don't beg for blessing; you revise your inner premise: I am held, I am kept by the living presence that I am. The world then shifts to reflect your inner decision: guidance arrives as a felt reality, not a report from the senses. Thanksgiving becomes the daily practice of inner sight; Providence becomes present-tense experience. Each moment of grateful acknowledgment sharpens the alignment, and the body follows the pulse of inner life. Now, with this, you may proceed, knowing the psalm's promise is your inner fact in the present.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume, 'I am held in life by the I AM.' Feel that support rising through your chest and stillness in your feet until the sense of movement is replaced by assurance.
