Psalms 66:15

Biblical Context

Psalm 66:15 presents a vow to offer sacrifices and incense, a symbolic pledge of devotion and worship.

Neville's Inner Vision

Viewed through the I AM lens, this verse reveals my decision to align my inner atmosphere with divine order. The fatlings, the rams, the bullocks and goats are not outer creatures but images of states of consciousness and fixed attitudes. The burnt sacrifices symbolize the burning away of a habit, fear, or desire that no longer serves the divine within. The incense of rams is the rising aroma of prayer—the breath and imagination by which I lift my attention toward the true I AM. When I offer these energies, I do not obligate God to act; I reconfigure my own consciousness so the I AM recognizes itself as the ruler of my reality. Selah marks a pause for the new state to settle, a resting in the truth already established in consciousness. My devotion is to a transformed inner life, turning all awareness to the inner altar where I am already one with the offering.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and let the inner altar come alive. Assume you are the sacrificer; place one small fear or conflicting desire on the altar and feel it burn away in the flame of I AM, then rest in the new reality.
