Biblical Context

Psalm 65:4 speaks of a blessed person chosen to approach God and dwell in His courts. It promises satisfaction found in the divine temple.

Neville's Inner Vision

Blessed is the state you awaken to when you claim you are chosen by your own I AM. The verse invites you to see that the blessing is not a favor granted by a distant power, but a condition of consciousness you enter. 'To approach thee' means you turn your attention inward, raise your level of awareness, and step through the doorway into the courts of your own heart. There you establish a sanctuary, a mental atmosphere, where thoughts harmonize with truth and feeling rests in the presence of God. When you dwell in that inner court, you are not seeking something new; you are becoming the good you seek. The sense of fullness in the divine temple fills your life, and the outer world reflects this inner state. Remember: reality follows imagination; the world you see is the image you have formed in your consciousness. Practice: affirm the state, 'I am chosen to dwell in the divine presence,' and hold that consciousness until it becomes your normal feeling. Let any sense of separation revise back to unity, and let the feeling of I AM saturate every moment.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Close your eyes, declare I am chosen to dwell in the divine presence, and feel that presence as your own now. Hold that feeling for a minute, then let it expand into your day.
