Inner Shield: Hearing Psalm 64
Psalms 64:1-2 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The psalm asks God to hear in prayer and to protect the speaker's life from fear, while shielding them from hidden plans of the wicked.
Neville's Inner Vision
To hear is to recognize the I AM that already answers within you. Psalm 64:1-2 invites your awareness to turn away from the fear of an unseen enemy and to seek shelter in the inner kingdom you are. The enemy is not outside but a state of agitation: images of danger, voices of limitation, and the old habit of thinking you are exposed. The 'secret counsel of the wicked' is the covert narrative you accept about yourself when you dwell in doubt; the 'insurrection of the workers of iniquity' is the rebellious energy of mind that resists quiet, present awareness. When you pray, you are not asking God to come to you; you are acknowledging that the I AM is hearing you now and that your life is preserved by that presence. As you align with that truth, fear loosens its grip, and you become the observer who knows you are already protected by perception itself. The verse thus becomes a practical method: assume the state of inviolable consciousness, and watch your external world reorganize to reflect that inner sanctuary.
Practice This Now
Impose the assumption that you are already held by the I AM; inwardly declare, I am heard and protected by the I AM, and feel that reality as present now.
