Biblical Context
Psalm 63 presents God as the speaker's God, seeking Him early; thirst and longing arise in a dry land, but the psalmist sights the power and glory of God in the sanctuary and resolves to praise, finding satisfaction in His lovingkindness. The passage moves from longing to praise and faithful assurance in divine presence.
Neville's Inner Vision
To you who awaken to the I AM, the words O God, thou art my God become your declaration of inner alignment. Early will I seek thee is not a time but a decision of consciousness, a habit of turning your attention to the sanctuary within as the source of life. The dry and thirsty land is a mental state where water seems distant, a belief in separation from the living presence. To see thy power and thy glory, as you have seen in the sanctuary, is to hold the vision of the inner temple until it fills every sensation with the reality of power and grace. Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, your lips praise the unseen abundance and praise becomes your natural breathing. Thus you bless God while you live, lifting your hands in the name of the I AM, which is your own awakened posture. Your soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness when you feast on the truth in consciousness, your mouth praising with joyful lips. This is not distant; it is the present reality created by your assumption.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Sit quietly, assume you are already in the sanctuary of your I AM, feel the presence, and repeat 'I am the I AM' until the sensation of thirst dissolves and fullness becomes real.
