Read Psalms 62 in context

Scripture Focus

6He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved.
Psalms 62:6

Biblical Context

Psalms 62:6 declares God as a steadfast rock, salvation, and defense, ensuring the believer remains unmoved by life's shifting circumstances.

Neville's Inner Vision

Think of the rock as your I AM, the steadfast center you can never lose when you stop trying to hold the world steady. When the psalmist says, He only is my rock and my salvation and my defense, I hear a clear instruction: rely on the one reality you can never outgrow—the awareness that you exist as I AM. Salvation then comes as the felt security of this inner state, not as a distant rescue. The defense is a boundary of attention you consciously set, a shield built by the conviction that you are upheld by a presence that never wavers. To live this is not stubborn resistance but the gentle art of assuming you are already saved, already protected, already immovable. In practice, you revise the picture of threat by returning to the rock within, repeating, I am the I AM, and that I AM is the rock, the capital reality in which all events pass like weather. Imagination creates reality: by dwelling in the fixed center, you shift what appears around you until you find you are not moved.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the I AM as your rock. Feel your body rooted and unmoved, repeating 'I am the I AM, I am safe' until the certainty is felt.
