Scripture Focus

2Thou hast made the earth to tremble; thou hast broken it: heal the breaches thereof; for it shaketh.
3Thou hast shewed thy people hard things: thou hast made us to drink the wine of astonishment.
Psalms 60:2-3

Biblical Context

Psalm 60:2-3 speaks of the earth trembling and breaking, with a plea to heal the breaches and a note that people drink the wine of astonishment. In Neville's reading, the outer disturbance reveals the inner climate of consciousness and invites a revision.

Neville's Inner Vision

I do not interpret the trembling earth as a history of calamity, but as the momentum of a state of consciousness dreaming in matter. The earth that trembles is the literal shape of your current outer conditions, made to shake until you awaken to the I AM within. The breaking is the collapse of a belief in separation; heal the breaches not by pleading, but by assuming your unity with the Life that breathes you. When you are told you must drink the wine of astonishment, receive it as the natural consequence of living from the end you desire. The astonishment is not fear; it is the joyous shock that your inner decree has begun to manifest. You have not suffered hard things to be punished, but shown the place where you must revise. The practice remains the same: assume the end; revision replaces seeing; feel the truth in your chest until the outer world rearranges to match. And so the earth becomes steady as your mind remains faithful to your healed state.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the healed state: imagine the breaches sealing, the ground settling; feel 'I am Whole' until it is real in your chest. Then carry the feeling of astonishment as daily bread.
