Inner Victory Through God
Psalms 60:11-12 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Psalms 60 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The psalm pleads for divine assistance in trouble and acknowledges that human aid is vain. It proclaims that real victory comes through God.
Neville's Inner Vision
Observe that 'Give us help from trouble' is not begging from without; it is an invitation to shift your inner state. The 'I AM' within you is the source of all strength, and to rely on it is to refuse the vanity of human aid. When you hear 'vain is the help of man,' translate it as: the outer world is ever-changing; the steadfast word of God in you is constant. 'Through God we shall do valiantly' becomes a statement of inner composition: you align with the divine I AM, and your courage rises as a natural consequence. Your 'enemies' are fear, doubt, and limitation born in a conditioned mind. By dwelling in the awareness that you are God-in-man, you experience a felt victory that guides your choices, your words, and your actions. The real battle is won in imagination first; the outward scene merely reflects the inner posture. So, abide in the state of I AM and let God tread down your foes in the field of your consciousness, and you shall do valiantly in every encounter.
Practice This Now
Assume you are the I AM; feel that inner God now and repeat, 'I am one with God, and strength rises within me.' Do this for a minute, then observe willingness to act with courage.
